Reyes, Carson, Ireton win school board elections

- All the numbers have been counted for the General Local Elections and a new face will be joining the Stanton ISD Board of Trustees while two others retain their seats in uncontested races. Brandon Ireton and Marty Graham were both vying for the Place 7 At-Large position on the school board.

Early voting for run-off starts on Monday

Texas will hold its 2024 runoff elections May 28 to finalize which Democratic and Republican primary candidates will be on the ballot in the November general election. During the March 5 primaries, if no candidate exceeded 50% of the vote a runoff race would be needed between the candidates who came in first and second.

Stanton set to graduate 67, Grady ready to hand out 14 diplomas, Garden City will walk 21 seniors

- A total of 102 Martin County and Glasscock County students are scheduled to receive their high school diplomas following the end of their respective school years. At Stanton High School, 67 students comprise the Class of 2024, which will walk across the stage at the Stanton High School Auditorium on Friday, May 24 during evening ceremonies scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
